Mikkel has a strong background within innovation & entrepreneurship. He has established, matured and scaled DTU Skylab into one of Europe´s leading technology-based innovation hubs. This journey has required securing 100+ million DKK in funding, growing the organisation and building 5,000m2 of innovation facilities.

Prior to this, Mikkel was the National Manager of Venture Cup Denmark, a start-up support initiative originally founded by McKinsey, and he is also the co-founder of Stormglas which drives interdisciplinary art projects.

Mikkel possesses deep knowledge within the areas of

Mikkel has both a master’s degree in Modern Culture from University of Copenhagen and one from the Rhythmic Music Conservatory. Furthermore, he holds an Executive MBA from the Technical University of Denmark.
